Celebrating 10 million jabs
I've been spending some time this weekend working on a mission patch for RAVS (record a vaccination). So instead of normal weeknotes, I'm going to share progress on that.
RAVS has recently reached a big milestone – 10 million vaccinations have been recorded using our service! RAVS reached 1 million back in January 2025, so that's a big leap.
Choosing a design
I asked the team for ideas a few weeks ago. Some of the team used AI to bring their ideas to life, I then made a short list and asked everyone to vote on their favourite.
The winning idea was a long queue of rabbits/hares leading into a pharmacy.
Updating the design
I decided to redraw the design, so that I could make it look less like AI, and more like our other mission patches designed by Frankie.

My final-ish design
I'm happy with how this turned out. I think it feels like the other RAVS mission patches, and I think it has the right level of detail.
Although, I think the AI one is better in a few ways. I may spend some time updating the colours in my final design, so they are a bit more vibrant? Maybe I should just swallow my pride and use the AI version?
Anyway, next step is get these printed and distributed to the team. Luckily there is an effort across my department to get these printed ready for our winter in-person events in November and December.
